Rev.
LynchÕs note
Grace to you
and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
I am writing to the Christ the King e-mail list to
greet you and tell you how glad I am to be your new rector. It has
been a pleasure to meet so many of you already, and Cecilia, Celeste and I look
forward to getting to know the rest of you over the coming weeks, months, and
years.
Although these are difficult times for many in the
church and in the world, we have been called to serve a God who can do
infinitely more than we can imagine, desire or deserve. I hope that we can work
to together to know him and to make him known.
I personally want to remind you that there are some
important events coming up in the life of our parish: First, this Sunday our
Lenten Soup Dinner and Studies will begin at 5:00 pm. We will be
looking at the Story of the Passion in each of the four canonical Gospels.
Second, this Wednesday we will renew the tradition of midweek services at 7:00
pm. This week will include the Holy Eucharist and prayers for healing. Please
do join us--Make it part of your Lenten discipline.
Finally, it's important for you to be able to be in
touch as we get to know each other. Feel free to call me at the church office,
send me an e-mail, or reach me by means of the Christ the King page on
Facebook (remember to sign up as a fan of CTK).
With prayers that you have a holy Lent,
Fr. Jack Lynch
